Description
Log-grown shiitake are mushrooms grown using the log cultivation method. Greenhouse cultivation is becoming commonplace, but we grow shiitake mushrooms in the beautiful outdoors.
Between November and March is the best season for log-grown shiitake mushrooms. This is related to physiographic factors. Continental monsoon winds from China cool the island in the winter, so Shiitake mushrooms can be slowly grown in low temperature. This makes meaty shiitake mushrooms with firm texture, savory flavor and rich taste.
Shiitake mushrooms are a great addition to your diet. Containing fiber, Vitamin D, Kalium, Magnesium, and Folic Acid, they are especially recommended for children and women expecting children. Dried mushrooms are even better tasting and more nutritious than raw mushrooms.
